Hi everyone,

I was hoping someone could provide me with a logical framework for a project I have been tasked with.

The Task
Create an asset tracking system for the IT help desk. Right now when a store or employee needs assistance, we need to open multiple spreadsheets to find all relevant information. We need to consolidate the data in one place and be able to select an employee or store from a drop down list and see all IT assets they have in their possession. We would also like to be able to do reporting on IT spend by department among other things.

The Data
All data is stored in 3 tables. One with employee details, another with store details and a third table housing all IT equipment in the company. I am very open to changing the tables, adding tables, consolidating tables, etc. See my 3 sample tables below.

Employee Table - All employees are listed here along with any IT assets they have been assigned

Store Table - All stores in our retail network and their IT details

Equipment Table - Every piece of equipment we have and who it has been assigned to

Thank you,

Mark
