I know this is a lot to ask but unfortunately, I am not sure where to go from here. I have been working on a spread sheet that will help me develop a schedule.

I have developed my sheet ask the user to input …
• Which days of the week are available,
• The names of the locations they will use,
• And the number of time slots available for each location on each day.

I would like to associate an actual time, with the time slots for each location on the appropriate day.

The chart below shows the information the sheet has collected. The user is prompted to place the # of time slots avaible in the orange cells for the correct day and location. Looking at Sunday…we have 4 time slots available but they are at two different locations. “Room 1” can support 3 meetings, while “Room 4” can only support one meeting. However on Monday this changes, we have 3 time slots available all for “Room 3”.

I would like to have excel, read this chart and ask …”What time will meeting one start on Sunday in Room 1…” then allow the user to input the value. …7:45 am. (this could be a drop down) Then ask “What time will meeting two start on Sunday at Room 1.” It would then need to recognize that there are no more time slots available for on the Sunday for Room 1, that there are no slots for Room 2 or Room 3 on the Sunday , but then realize that Room 4, has 2 more slots. At this points, the sheet should prompt the users for times for this location. This would continue until each time slot has a specific time assigned to it for the specified location for each day.

The number of locations has a maximum of 10 and are assigned by the user further up the sheet.

As I said… I know it is a lot to ask, but I’m not sure on how to move forward…

Thank you.
