Hello
I know I can do this

Set myworkbook = Application.Workbooks.Open("c:\abc.xlsx")

So I want to assign abc to myworkbook without opening the file. Is that possible? Thank you so much.

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Short answer, no.

When you open the file you are essentially adding it the Workbooks collection of the Application object and it's actually an object in that collection you are setting the reference to.
