Hi all

please may you help me with a formula to assign an "N" where a cell is blank
eg.

Column A = Grades

A1 = B
A2 = c
A3 = d
A4 =
A5 = f
A6 = G

I would like A4 to return an N

I know its an IF but I have been playing around with no joy!

many thanks

How long is your list and is this a one time event or something that will be accomplished over an over?

Do you want a formula in just A4 or where?

IMO, the best way is to use the blank cells technique...

Select the cells >> A1:A52

Press >> Ctrl + G

Select >> Special

Check >> Blanks

Type in an "N" (without the "")

Press Ctrl + Enter
