Assigning/Pasting Ranges to Merged Cells?

Hi Folks,

I have a 2 small tables of string data (5 rows x 2 cols) wherein I need to use one or the other on a spreadsheet. I thought this would be a good candidate (and feet wetter, for me :) ) for a Range Object. So far—so good. The problem then came in trying to put the object into some cells that had been merged (for formatting purposes). I can't undo the merging (though I did try that to no avail); it would throw the whole sheet/project out of whack. So instead, I read the data into a couple of arrays, and got around the problem that way.

My question is, are there any other ways (i.e. "tricks" ) of/for getting around Excel's aversion to copy/pasting a Range Object into cells that have been merged?

TIA
