Hi,

While working on a Excel sheet in Windows 10 (Office365), I suddenly cannot enter any data in ANY cell. The problem is resolved when I click on any any other sheet and then come back to the original sheet. Moving to the next cell the issue comes up again at times.

How do I resolve this.

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
Does the workbook contain any vba ?
Is the worksheet protected in any way ?
Does this behaviour only happen in the ONE workbook ?
Was the workbook created in 365 or in earlier version of Excel ?
Do any cell formulas in any sheet contain links to other workbooks ?
Does the worksheet contain any array formulas ?
Is the behaviour identical when calculations are set to manual ? (see Formula Tab, Calculation options)

Have you tried working offline? I know that office 365 can cause delays in all sorts of operations , presumably while it is trying to synchronise

My thoughts are similar to @offthelip

Are workbooks being saved to OneDrive ?
Set autosave to OFF
