auto complete? autotext? not sure what i want and if possible

evening all i have a receipt/invoice system on excel and wondered if you can set up the cells where i enter the product code, so that if i type '00' it suggest anything that matches beginning. If i then add an additional number '002' it then removes anything which does not have '2' as the third number?

Is this possible if so how? I have tried looking but getting confused

this is used in excel 2003, and sometime in 2007
