In large spreadsheets I like to use Auto Complete by clicking "alt + arrow down" to get a quick list of previous items inputted and then select what I want. For some reason it will only list text or numbers. It will not list dates. Am I missing something or is this just the way it is? Thank you.

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)

It probably is listing dates, but just not in teh format you are used to seeing them. Excel treats dates as a 5-digit number, representing how many days have passed since 1/1/1900. So todays date, formatted as General or Number wwould be 41663

I changed the format in my entire date column to general and number, and still nothing shows when I click "alt + arrow down". The adjacent columns are formatted as general with text in them (no dates or numbers). Those do show up in the drop down list for some reason. Strange.
