Auto count filtered items?

I have a spreadsheet that has numerous lines and I have to do a lot of filtering.

I know how to select items and get the count, but it there anyway to automatically have the count appear when I apply filters?

It would make my life a lot easier.

Check Excel help on the SUBTOTAL function.

It can perform various calculations on filtered data.

Take a look at the "SUBTOTAL" function in Excel Help.
That is what it is good at is Filters.
