auto date calculation

I am looking to have a date calculated based on today's date to 30 days in future. If this date is Tuesday for example then I want to goto last Thursday. For example if today 12/30/05, so 30 days in future is around 1/30/06 which falls on Monday. The formula should calculate the date to 1/26/06. Same for 90 days. Greatly appriciate your help!

Would A1+30 suffice, where A1 houses a date? Or are you looking for workdays?

well 30 days in the future can be any day then go back to previous Thursday
