Auto Decimals

Good Morning:

I am importing numbers from another application that uses no decimals into an excel sheet. How do I get the cell to recognize, for example, 24205 is 242.05 and not 24205.00?

Any help would greatly be appreciated....:confused:

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
Hello and welcome to MrExcel.

Try Tools > Options > Edit tab > tick Fixed decimal and set places to 2.

I did read that somewhere, but I didnt set it up before I imported the numbers. It is working great now! :)
