Hello,

I have "/TAPE-01.JPG" in cell A1 and I'd like to drag this to the right and have Excel generate /TAPE-02.JPG, /TAPE-03.JPG, /TAPE-04.JPG etc...The only thing that I want to change is the number.

How can this be done?

Thanks!

Hi there. Consider the formula:

="/TAPE-"&TEXT(ROW(),"00")&".JPG"

Hmmmm I don't think it worked. I pasted the formula in cell B1 and when I dragged it, it's returning the same value. Any idea?

Try ="/Tape-"&RIGHT("00"&column(A1),2)&".JPG"

I think emilG's got it..
The key piece of information was that you are dragging the formula RIGHT.
Other solutions were based on dragging formula DOWN.

Sorry, you wanted to drag to the right instead of down.
Then change ROW into COLUMN in my suggestion.
