Hi,

I have a spread sheet with "cases" that I use in work to note tasks that I need to do.

When I start a new case I would like today's date to auto-fill in a specific column, the purpose is to keep track of when I got that task.

Does anyone know how to solve it?

All answers are appreciated, thank you!

Excel Facts

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
How about just pressing CTRL+;
That will put the current date into whatever you're typing.

Side note: CTRL+,
puts the current time

So you could type:
CTRL+;
SPACE
CTRL+,

to enter the current date and time

Anything there you could use?
