I need to auto-increment rows in column A as new data is entered. I can do that. Later, after many rows of new data is entered, I need to sort the rows added along with the rest of the sheet in alphabetical order, while retaining the row number for column A.
For example:
A B
1 names
2 names
3 names
. ...
. ...
. ...
20 NEW names
21 NEW names
22 NEW names
Then sort all names in alphabetical order, with the numbers in col A following the names.
Thanks.

If you include column A in the sort range this happens anyway.

However, if column A contains formulas then need to Copy .. Edit/PasteSpecial .. Values first.
