First off thanks for adding me to the forum!
Hopefully I can explain this properly.
1: I have a categories column, I chose my categories via drop down list
2: The column next to categories is a money value.
3: After the entries have been made I run a total for each particular category
4: example Column A = categories, Column B = respective money entries, Column C = Category Totals
Say I have a category that has 10 entries, I use the formula =sum(B1:B10) and put that total in the C column cell C10
Then i go in the next day and add another entry to the particular category that would make my total in cell C10 no longer valid because now
i have 11 entries instead of 10.
Is there a way to have the C10 total value update regardless of how many entries I put in?
I hope I'm explaining this properly any help would be greatly appreciated.
