auto update date

is there a way that i can have the date in a cell automatically updated to the current date?
thanks.
 

Excel Facts

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
Enter this in a cell:

=NOW()

this will place the date and time in the cell and will be updated every time you enter anything into any other cells in the sheet.
