AUTOFIILL DATA WITH TOTALS

ok, i have one sheet that consist of names on a1:a9 then a list of job codes on b1:b9.. now i have this other seperate sheet that tells me what dept number is associated with a specific jod code. i want to import the second sheet into the first and have the dept code next to the appropriate jod code. did i make sence?

Sounds like you need a vlookup. Should look something like this

Code:
=VLOOKUP(B1,Sheet2!A1:B10,2,0)

B1 is where you have the job codes at b1:b9

Sheet2! is the sheet with the dept code

A1:B10 is the array within sheet 2 that u want to use as reference

The 2 changes the output of the vlookup based upon how many columns over u want (probably doesnt make sense but mess around with this # and you'll get it)
