Hello,
I have MS Excel 2007. I am trying to accomplish the following scenario:
I have 2 sheets for this workbook. In one sheet I have equipment based on a Serial number for that equipment in column D, and registration number in column E. the sheet name is ISSUES.
The other sheet name is CDL and it has the same serial and registration in cols. C and D respectively.
The order of these serials and registrations are not the same. ie. Serial # "456" Registration number "123", in row 20 on sheet ISSUES may correlate to the same serial and registration row 3 on sheet CDL.
The process is this: We receive a piece of equipment in and report that in CDL. Then when the truck goes back out or is issued, we input that on the sheet ISSUES and we put the date in. (The date is the same column for both sheets and is col. G)
What we want is when we put the date into ISSUES, it auto populates the current date into the correct row to match the registration and serial number in the CDL sheet.
Thank you for any help!
