Autofill

Excel Facts

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
You can go to the Excel menu and select "Tools" then "Options" then "Custom List" tab. Here you can create new "Lists" and "Add" them for future use as autofill lists. Hope this is what you were looking for.

Thanks for replying. I know how to find the customized list, but what about when Excel does this: I type in Table A, Table B... How does Excel know to type in Table C, etc.? Is there some sort of internal database or what? How does it know to continue a series of any sort?

I believe that is in the internal programming of Excel and not accessible to users. It should be either a numerical or textual order; e.g. put A1 in a cell and autofill down you will get A2, A3, A4, etc.

If you want a custom order, I think you'll need to use something like Cloverken's suggestion.
