AutoFilter does not work after the 255th character

I have been working on a rather large project and have pretty much gotten everything automated by scripting. However, I found that my autofilter is not catching everything because the criteria it is searching for is after the 255th character.

Find recognizes the string when I do it manually but I cannot seem to get the method to work in vbscript. I must be using the wrong syntax or not declaring something.

Any workarounds for this?

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Ken,

Just wanted to tell you thanks. It was the information autofilter was missing that I needed the most before the fix. The link helped considerably as well as provide other useful advise.

You're welcome. Debra's site has some great stuff on pivot tables if you use those at all. :)
