I am working with Excel 2002 and when protecting a sheet I checked following for Allow all users of the workbook to:
- Select locked cells
- Select unlocked cells
- Use Autofilter
But when I try to use Autofilter, this option is dimmed on the menu, having only the AdvancedFilter option, which I am not interested in. Does anyone know if there is a limitation or bug for this instance?

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
Hi Corni

I don't think it's a bug - it does it on my Excel2003 too. You can use it if Autofilter has already been applied to the range before protection is applied. I don't know how useful that will be to you?

Best regards

Richard
