automate update links

hi,

I've got a workbook that i send around to my staff to various things.

how do i get rid of the "update links" message box so that when they open the file, they don't see the "update links" msg box YET the links are updated?????

any ideas?

If you are using 2003, click Edit>Links. There should be a button that says Startup prompt. Choose the option that best suits you and Save the workbook.

yes, that would work on my computer but not on the ppl that i send the file to.

The instructions I sent you are a file setting, not a computer setting.

okay - thanks but i have a problem....i save the file, reopen it, and the msg box still pops up...weird...

When you go back into the Edit>Links, does it show that it saved your setting? Do you have any code that would change it for some reason?
