I have a rather large spreadsheet (about 35mb) which holds all the assets of the company. There are several lookups in the spreadsheet and a couple of Pivot tables. When I want to update the calculation takes around 20-30 mins !

I have set it to manual calculation but sometimes need to refresh some of the data (not the whole spreadsheet). Is there anyway I can set a range to calculate or do I need I have to calculate the whole sheet ?

Cheers

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Try using Range("A1:A10").calculate or selection.calculate in a macro.
