So--- I need to know the feasibility of creating a sheet, ironically used once per year, to compare a NEW sheet that was just created and uploaded to a Sharepoint site, with the old that we are simultaneously retiring.

It is our inventory program and once per year we start using a new sheet.

Now.... I need to do this comparison approx 120 times... (120 people) (one by one of course)

Of that group, there are 10-12 separate folders where these files are located.

Of that group 120 are uniquely named.... The name is also using the date...

I completely understand the feasibility of using the data once I have it. That's not hard. Getting the data in, is a bit more difficult.

Basics of the problem... I need it as automated as possible so I can 'hand this out' to the managers who oversee each area... Hopefully I could offer a cell, or prompt to select the files, which then brings the data in. Once in, a few quick macros and I can parse the data easily...

I host the data at sharepointsite.com/data/data/region/NAME OF PERSON 2-1-XXXX Inventory Sheet.xlsx

I need to be able to pull that data in, to make it the same as

sharepointsite.com/data/data/region/SAME NAME OF PERSON 2-1-YYYY Inventory Sheet.xlsx

ALL DATA IN THE FILES are in the same location, we simply 'refresh' the sheet. I need to compare the Ending numbers, with the new numbers to make sure we match. Our reconciliation.

Next year, they open this file, select the name of the person, year increments so its 'Inventory Sheet 2-1-2020', and 2021 respectively.

Thoughts on the ease of making this happen?

Thanks
