Automatic numbering.

I am maintaining an excel sheet for our sales invoices . our invoice no starts with the series 90000000. My concern is while entering the last digits of the invoice no. the excel should display exact invoice no. that is , if i enter 453 the excel should display invoice no as 9000453 is it possible? please guide me..invoice no is in the column "d".

Sure, right click cell, format, custom type 90000###
if you now enter 453 it will display 90000453

90000000 ? you must be using SAP!!

Sorry to join in your thread, but shyrath, would your solution work when the invoice number is greater than 999. It's just that it would be helpful for me too.
