Automatically create Named range

Hello,

I am trying to get something working that would required Name Ranges to be created automatically based on the content of specific cells.

Specifically, I have a column called GROUP that contains a numerical value (1 to 20) which allows me to "group" items together. I would like to be able to create name ranges based on the value on this cell.

So that, all items with value "1" (for instance) are grouped together in a name range called Group1, and then the same for items with value "2", which would be grouped together in a named range called Group2, and so on so forth.

Is this feasible in excel? If so, could you please point me in the right direction?

Its pretty much a mystery what the sheet and the data looks like.

What is a "group" ?
What are the items?
What does together mean, same cell, same column, same row?

What determines the range to be named, and by "able" do you a macro?

I would like to be able to create name ranges based on the value on this cell.

Can you post a small amount of you sheet along with what you want to happen and where it should happen?

Perhaps manually construct a "finished product" to show a before and an after, so to speak.

Well, I saw and I pondered and I have to say I do not know how to tackle this.

Hopefully, with the example screen shot, someone will else will pounce on it.
