Hi all, I'm in a bit of a dilemma at work and was hoping the kind and helpful people who frequent these boards can help!

I'm using Excel 2010 on Windows XP Professional.

Every week, on a Monday, I extract a report which contains a select list of patients. I then need to add 5 columns (F-I) and then copy data from the previous weeks' spreadsheet into these 5 cells. I have previously done this by copying the details in column A on row 2, using ALT+TAB to switch to the old version from last week, searching the copied cell details to find the correct row, then selecting the details in column F-I on that row and pasting into the new spreadsheet. The main issues I have are as follows:

1. The number of rows I am now having to search is 150+, and this will only increase. You can imagine how time consuming this is!!
2. The rows change order week on week.
3. Sometimes, new rows are added in the middle of pre-existing ones from the previous week and these cells need to be filled in in a colour.

Does that make sense? I hope so! Can anyone advise please? I'm hoping there is some way to speed up the process / do some kind of "search and copy from spreadsheet 1, paste into correct row on spreadsheet 2"
