Hello everybody I am new to this site but enjoy working with excel for quite a few years now. I use excel a lot for making estimates.

The annoying -probably easy question- is this:

The cell command
=SUM(H38,H36,H32,H24,H17,H9)

always count up to O as the values between parentheses are autosums themselves.

How can I fix this easily?

Kind regs,

baudi

Excel Facts

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
Hi, baudi, welcome to the board

Presumably you expect the result to be something other than zero? Usually this would indicate that the cells you are summing contain text not numbers (SUM function ignores text), although the values might look like numbers.

What formulas are in H38, H36 etc.?
