Average and Sum Help

Hi everyone, Im new to excel and have gotten lots of help from reading through many posts, so first thank you to everyone who takes the time to post and of course answer these questions.

I need help with the below if anyone can help, and so you are aware I am using Excel 2003 so I cannot use Averageif or IFS.

I want to calculate an average value based on the value before it and more this across 12 months. this is easy enough using the below example using the last Cell A12.

=AVERAGE(A1:A11) however I want excel to automatically ignore the average calculation if another cell on a different page has a figure in it and use this figure instead of the average figure.

I hope that's easy enough to understand. I am using this to calculate a cash flow projection in case this makes it easier for anyone to understand.

Can anyone help and thank you in advance.

I have to play around a bit to get it work and it seems to like:

=IF('Yearly Summary'!F9>=1,'Yearly Summary'!F9,IF('Yearly Summary'!F9=0,AVERAGE(D3:E3)))

So far testing appears to be accurate, Ill finish off all my tests before I mark this as solved.
