# Average Conditionals?

I am trying to average some data in my excel spreadsheet basically it looks like:

 1 5 2 6 3 5 4 6 1 5 2 6 3 5 4 6

<colgroup><col><col></colgroup><tbody>
</tbody>

I need to average the first set of 2-4 and then the second set and so on and so forth and I am looking for an easy way to do that without Manually going through each cell.

I am sort of familiar with VBA but not enough to create my own code if that is what is needed.

Thanks.

### Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
2,5 5,5

1 5
2 6
3 5
4 6
1 5
2 6
3 5
4 6

a1= average(a3:a10)
b1= average(b3:b10)

Actually a little different... I need the values that correspond to 2-4 averaged so

1 5 5.67
2 5 5.67
3 6 5.67
4 6 5.67

1 7 7.67
2 7 7.67
3 8 7.67
4 8 7.67
I'm sorry I worded my first post wrong, I need to figure out what forumla to plug into column C that would get the average of the coresponding values 2-4 to be placed in all 4 cells if my above example makes more sense.

5.67 (how do you come to this result).

average of 2-4's correspondance so 5+6+6/3

c1=average(\$b\$2:\$b\$4) and drag down

c5=averarge(\$b\$6:\$b\$8) and drag down

What does "2-4" mean exactly?

I did not understand it either, but I think it is meant row 2 till 4.

I did not understand it either, but I think it is meant row 2 till 4.

Post #5 is not coherent with that to be sure.
