Hi, All,

I see that this is quite simple but I am not able to get the formula. I am trying to average 3 sets of data from 3 different worksheets with a criteria to follow. I am using Excel 2010.

Worksheets contain scores on a daily basis.
Example:
Sheet 1: Jan1-50%, Jan3-65%
Sheet 2: Jan 1-90%, Jan3-95%, Jan5-100%
Sheet 3: Jan3 - 56%, Jan5-100%

Sheet 4, I would want to see the average of:
Jan 1, Jan3 and Jan5 scores coming from Sheets 1-3.

I was advised to use INDIRECT function but it seems I am not able to get it right. Any thoughts?

Thank you.

Regards,

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
Do all the sheets have the same layout. I mean, is every date on the same row number on each sheet? If they do then you can use
=AVERAGE(Sheet1:Sheet3!B2)

Hi, konew1,

the scores are on different columns and even if they are, the result of the formula would only be for overall and not on a per day average...

Thanks for the suggestion though..
