Hi 2 simple questions,

1. I have a column with monthly totals of rainfall from year 1988 up to 2001, it looks like this:
Jan-88 | 45.8
Feb-88 | 200.1
etc
I would like to have one single value for the mean rainfall in January over the period 1988-2001, and for February, March etc.

1988-2001
Jan | 43.7
Feb | 167.2
etc.
I tried with SUMPRODUCT and SUMIF, but that doesn't seem to work, does anybody know how to tackle this problem?

2.
I have 4 datacolumns; one flow and 3 rainfall stations . I want to show the rainfall data in columns and the flow as a line. When i try the Line Column custom type graph, I get the flow and one rainfall station data plotted in columns and the other two rainfall stations as a line. How can you let Excel know what you want to be plotted as a line and what as a column?

Ok i Hope someone can help me.
Kind Regards,
Lennart

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.

For the first one, try:

=SUMPRODUCT(--(MONTH(A1:A24)=1),B1:B24)/SUMPRODUCT(--(MONTH(A1:A24)=1))

And, per your second question, try right clicking on the series you'd like to change and selecting "chart type". You should be able to choose the chart type for each series.
