Hi

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to swop a backward date around?

The date come from a as400 file and looks like

1021107

this would be 07/11/02.

or would i have to do a lookup table.

many thanks

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.

if cell A1 contains your value 1021107, this would also work:

=DATE("20"&MID(A1,2,2),MID(A1,6,2),MID(A1,4,2))

Use Text To Columns, using "Delimited", and in step 3, change the column type to "Date" using YMD or YDM, because I don't know which one are you using in there !
