Hello -

I need help filtering ... its seems very complicated.

Problem : If I want to filter area D which has about 1000 invoice numbers not all of them show up in the filtering index. It will go to lets say 100 - 700 and then skip 800 - 900 and in the very bottom of the index it will have lets say 850.

Problem2: At times I will be working on a spread sheet for Artist payments and I will filter by the name. When I filter by the name only that name is supposed to show but when I try to filter by name it gets scattered in the other names and it wont group. When this happend in the past I would copy and paste everything to a new spread sheet but it is starting to happen again.
Is it the excel program or me?

Please Help! i trust this program but i dont want to make any errors because of this.

- Thank you.

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
hi - welcome to the board!

autofilter drop down is limited to 1000 items, I'm afraid.
