Hi, I got a problem building a bar chart. I have 3 series and I want 2 of them to be stacked and one not to be stacked. I´m plotting the single series in secondary axis and in clustered bar chart" type, the other two are on primary axis an are a stacked chart type.

My problem is that í cant seperate them, they always overlap. setting the overlap seems to only work for each chart type at a time.

Does anybody have a clue for me?

Thanx in advance.

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
My only suggestion would be to create additional, dummy series to plot on the secondary axis. This will allow you to create the same overlap as on the primary and if you "hide" your dummy data (either no fill, no line or negative values and set minimum scale) you should be able to accomplish what you're after.

Thank you for suggestion, I already thought of that but the dummy would show upp in the legends.. :/ I would like to avoid that.
Also the overlap only occurs within the chart type object, so one chart type is always on top of the other one,

Hi, thank you very much for the reply and the link.
It´s worked for me, a little data rearranging and formatting but got the job done.
