Hi All, I've plagiarised a basic league table template and I've edited it to work almost how I want it to. This will be for a Pool league and I need to add an additional couple of variables for points scoring.

In the league everyone plays best of 5 frames, nobody will ever draw a match, they either win or lose, with 3 points being awarded to the winner, but the following will apply:

Where a player wins 3-0 they will be awarded an additional point

Where a losing player wins either 1 frame or 2 frames they will be awarded a point

There is a fixtures and result worksheet which feeds in to a settings worksheet where all the data is compiled.

What is the best way to calculate these permutations?

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
What version of Excel are you using?

I suggest that you update your Account details (or click your user name at the top right of the forum) so helpers always know what Excel version(s) & platform(s) you are using as the best solution often varies by version. (Don’t forget to scroll down & ‘Save’)

Also can you please post some sample data.

MrExcel has a tool called “XL2BB” that lets you post samples of your data that will allow us to copy/paste it to our Excel spreadsheets, so we can work with the same copy of data that you are. Instructions on using this tool can be found here: XL2BB Add-in

Note that there is also a "Test Here” forum on this board. This is a place where you can test using this tool (or any other posting techniques that you want to test) before trying to use those tools in your actual posts.
