Beginner needs help!

I need to prepare a spreadsheet that shows the following information:


Three columns:

1st column will be date (each Sunday from 7-6-08 through the last Sunday of 2008.

2nd column will be a dollar amount collected for that date

3rd column will be the total collected to date.

Beginning balance is $250,000


Can someone help me? I am a new excel user who will be taking classes soon, but I need this particular document done asap.

What do you actually need help with?

If it's the dates then it's pretty straightforward.

Here's one way.

1 Put 7-06-08 in A1.

2 Put =A1+1 in A2.

3 Copy A2 down as far as needed.

The formulas are entered once in each column and filled down. So for example in A4 enter the formula

=A3+7

then click in A4, hover the cursor over the bottom right of the cell until the pointer turns into a + then hold down the left mouse button, drag down as far as needed and release the mouse button.
