I have a worksheet that when the right username is answered it goes into userforms (visual basic) On these forms I need to store, retrieve, and edit data. What is the best way to store data. Is it best to use sequential files using Input # 1 , Output # 1 and Append # 1. If there is a better way can some one point me in the right direction. I will also have to make some calculations and the variables or data

thanks in advance

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
In Excel, storing data in cells is easiest and leaves that data exposed to Excel's analysis tools.

I prefer creating an array and then storing in a name such as:

Names.Add name:="StoredOverbill", RefersTo:=overbillData

Then you can retrieve the data later with a statement such as:

overbillData = [StoredOverbill]

This allows for quicker access and you don't need to mess with pasting the data into cells and than retrieving it through a loop.
