Best practices working with data rows not yet available

Hi,

Google did not give back any answers for the terms I have looked up, so I guessed this forum might be a good idea.
I am building a dashboard with E-Commerce data, that is updated daily. In the first column, I have the dates and in the rows there is the data from that day.
Every day I will add some more data. Are there any blog articles or best practices how to work with that so conditional formatting and charts get updated once I add more data? Should I just put zeros for data corresponding to future dates or just leave the cells empty?

Welcome to the Forum.

Your problem is solved easily by converting the range of data to an official Excel Table. Are you familiar with Tables? They can automatically update new records with formulas and formatting from each field.
