Blank out the Excel "19000100" Date until Entered

Another hopefully more simple question. I have a cell "A9" referencing another sheet ='Truck 1'!F8 for the date entered, until a valid date is entered it display "19000100", is there an easy way to "blank" out this value until a current/valid date is entered? I did try conditional formatting hoping it would recognize the "19000100" but no luck there.

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
How about
Excel Formula:
=IF('Truck 1'!F8="","",'Truck 1'!F8)
