This is a question that I just can't seem to find the answer to: how do I set a formula to return a "blank" value?
Example: I want to create an IF formula that would return a blank cell under certain circumstances: =IF(A1=0,"yes",?????)
...replace the ????? with what?

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
Although remember that cells with formula generated 'blanks' are not blank!

Guys, thank you so much for your help, but when I replace it with "", I get a 0 value in the cell. What if I want the cell to remain blank?

post the formula's you are using, or better - download the html maker addin & post a snapshot of your spreadsheet.

The value in cell A10 is 12.
The formula in cell B10 is =IF(A10>=0,A10*.42,"").
When I drag the fill handle on B10 down to copy the formula in B11, B12, and so on, I get the value 0 in those cells. What if I want those cells to appear blank until I enter values in A11, A12, etc..?
