I just finished up a workbook with 28 sheets. There are 4 userforms, 2 of which are called by 12 of the sheets, and the other 2 by 1 sheet. In addition there is code added on 12 sheets to sort, copy and paste to other sheets.
There is a fair amount of code, but not any more than similar workbooks I have currently. Difference is, with no data entered, the workbook shows 248,037KB. Takes 8 minutes + to open, if it will open. Then several minutes to save or close.
Similar workbooks weigh in less than 1mb.
Any ideas what to look for with this workbook that would bulk it up so much???

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
First up, go to each sheet and do a CTRL + End.
See where the active cell is !
If its WaaY past the last row or column, try this.
Highlight the row after the last used row and then press CTRL + Down Arrow then delete ALL rows
Do the same with columns then Ctrl + Right Arrow Delete all the columns
When finished save and reopen.
Another thing to look at....are you unloading your userforms after they have been used, rather than hiding them ?? This will also make a difference
So, instead of
Code:
Userform. Hide
USE
Code:
Unload.Me
