Hi,
I searched for the following thought in my head but getting no idea.
I am trying to describe it.

I have a merged cell box from B2:E2
I use this merged box for type which auto filter data as I type.
Now I want to write some information in this search box which will be blur, take no effect on filtering data.
When I start to type the blur text will be gone & whenever I erase the search word the informative word will be back again.

Is it possible? Apricate any feedback.

Thanks in advance

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
Hi,
I don't think it can be done with merged cells but there is a work around with an unmerged cell. Assuming your worksheet can be modified to use an un-merged cell?
Add the temporary word you wish to display in the cell to the left. This cell can be made very narrow so it is not too visible (suggest 0.25 width) such that the text is visible in the cell to the right. You can add a ' sign and several spaces before the word to shift it further to the right as you see fit.
There may also be a vba solution but I would have to leave that to someone else.

Good luck,
Paul.
