I just got the book recently and I am up to ch.3. Much of it I already knew but then I can't remember if I know it BECAUSE I learned it here anyway :)

I just read p.53 regarding using an array formula to cause whole (real) numbers formatted as integers to correctly sum.

The fact that they are different perhaps.

The latter rounds down the sum.

The former rounds the individual inputs (up or down) before summing them.

Both result in a whole number, but, the difference could easily change the result. Probability is difficult to generically assign here though with any significant confidence interval.

There's no right answer, it simply depends on what you want eh.
