I'm trying to use more than 1 criterion in an older Excel 4 macro, but cannot find out from the MS XL4 help files how to do this. My way certainly doesn't work.... Any help appreciated!!!!

=ELSE.IF(AND(ACTIVE.CELL()=1, DEREF(RC[1])=2, DEREF(R[1]C[1])=2))

If the active cell is 1, the cell to the right of it is 2 and so is the cell below that one, then....

What am I doing wrong???
Many thanks

Henk

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
Many thanks,
Found out that also the ABSREF command worked wonders:
=ELSE.IF(AND(ACTIVE.CELL()=1, ABSREF("R[+1]C[+1]", ACTIVE.CELL())=1))
All problems solved now!
