Ok...

So, I have just inherited a new spreadsheet from a colleague that recently left the company and it is protected. I know the benefits of protecting, but now i need to make changes to improve the "usability".

Right now all of the sheets, row names, and column names are hidden and i don't know how to reinstall them. I know they are there, but you can see them; i.e. the A, B, C, D... and 1, 2, 3, 4... are all gone. Plus the Sheets are not shown. I can still alt-tab to find the other sheets, so i know they are there, but they do not appear to the user... Is there a quick way to reinstall the views so i can use the spreadsheet fully?

Thanks,

Dustin

On the menu bar go to Tools > Options > View [tab] and check "Row & column headers" and "Sheet tabs".

That did it... Thanks Jon. I wasn't hitting any passwords and I couldn't find this setting. Thanks so much for the quick help. I am away and running now...
