Hi all,

I hope you can help me. I have a Excell sheet with several tabs.

Every now and again, it happens once in a blue moon, I find that when I have entered data in the column, the sum range at the bottom changes.

It does not extend, it shortens. I have thought I have been going mad or clumsy, only I looked at an earlier version of the same excel sheet that I sent to my boss by email and I did in fact find that the formula should be where it should be on that version.

This has happened on a few occasions now and I know that its not me going mad :)_

I can't investigate as this is a really rare occurrence. All data types are in general format, but I have to admit, there is words in the column that is being summed. If no payment has been made by the provider, we enter a status instead. I have put a lot of formulas to this sheet, if the wording/statuses is the issue, it would mean designing the whole entire workbook and its formulas, this would be an absolute nightmare. I was hoping for a quick fix in case it is something simple.

Many thanks.

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
Hi

All as expected, you have to use a formula with reference to name management
