Just a quick question in excel 2007, I know you can change the color of the text displayed on a button but can you change the color of the button?

Thanks, to Rallcorn for the help on my last issue.
Thanks, to ALL, this forum is the best.

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
Are you using a button from the form controls (forms button) or from the activeX controls (command button)?

I'm assuming that you mean a Button from the Forms or ActiveX tool Box.

I don't think you can.

But you could choose something from Insert>Shapes and then I kind of like the Bevel under Basic Shapes.

You have alot more options when you go to Format Shape of that shape. And yes you can assign a macro to it.

I'm not sure you can change the backcolor of a forms button.

Witht eh activeX button (command button) it is relatively simple with code or you can right click on a command buttona dn go to properties and change the backcolor there.

With command buttons though, you cannot as easily set a macro to the button. It is still pretty easy, but not as easy.

You will have to have a command_button click routine which will call the macro you want it to activate.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, Nalani I think that will work...... I was using a button just to have a button but assigning the macro to the shape works well.
Thanks,

Glad I could help BMD.

If you don't like the Bevel, the Rectangle looks almost like the Button under the Forms tool bar.

In fact any Shape that fits your fancy will probably do for you. Get creative. ;)
