I have a form with a section users might update, I want them to press a button to choose to update this section.

If they do press this button I would like the date and their user ID (which is stored in a form thats not visable) to be automatically placed in two fields.

I know some code for using information from another form and the date as a default vaule in a form, but I do not know how to add this information only if the button has been clicked.....

I guess I am hoping someone can tell me the VBA for the "on click" event procedure that will update a form or table field.

Thanks for your help
Helena
