Hi all,

I need to create a spreadsheet, which has an integrated 15 working day SLA. The SLA clock starts 1 day after the 'Claim Lodged Date' (Column A). The SLA clock then stops when a barrier is raised (on the day of the 'Barrier Raised Date') and then restarts when a barrier is closed (on the day of the 'Barrier Closed Date').

If a claim has 2 barriers, the SLA should only restart, once both barriers are cleared and there is a 'Barrier Closed Date' captured in Columns D & G.

I need Column H (SLA Days Remaining), to be able to automatically calculate how many working days we have left, before we hit the SLA, based on the 'Barrier Closed Date'. I also need Column H to be green when we're within the 15 working day SLA, but turn red on the 15th working day of the SLA (which is the last day before we miss the deadline). The case would then need to remain as red thereafter.

Please see example attached.

Any help would be greatly appreciate!

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
no example attached ???

do you enter in seperate columns barrier 1 and barrier2 or just over write the 1 column - if not , then VBA maybe needed , which i cannot do

so for example
barrier 1 start would be in column D and then B1 closed in E
B2 start would be in F and B2 closed g
B3 start would be in a diffirent column and B2 closed a different column
ETC

if you just have one column for barrier - then i probably cannot help

Note: Images are difficult to see , and also requires that I input all the data myself, which means I may make an error, which is very time consuming, and from my point of view less likely to get a response, if a complicated spreadsheet. Plus we cannot see any of the formulas used.

Therefore -

A SMALL sample spreadsheet, around 10-20 rows, would help a lot here, with all sensitive data removed, and expected results mocked up and manually entered, with a few notes of explanation.

MrExcel has a tool called “XL2BB” that lets you post samples of your data and will allow us to copy/paste your sample data into our Excel spreadsheets, saving a lot of time.

You can also test to see if it works ok, in the "Test Here" forum.

OR if you cannot get XL2BB to work, or have restrictions on your PC

then put the sample spreadsheet onto a share

I only tend to goto OneDrive, Dropbox or google docs , as I'm never certain of other random share sites and possible virus.
Please make sure you have a representative data sample and also that the data has been desensitised, remember this site is open to anyone with internet access to see - so any sensitive / personal data should be removed

Make sure you set any share or google to share to everyone

Hi,

Thank you for your swift response. Unfortunately, I am unable to upload as a mini-sheet, as my laptop wont allow me to add the XL2BB. However, I have copied and pasted the set up of the current spreadsheet, including columns etc. Please see below:

Is this helpful?

this assumes you just =look for a closed date in barrier
=IF(A2="","",IF(G2<>"",NETWORKDAYS(G2,TODAY()),IF(D2<>"",NETWORKDAYS(D2,TODAY()),NETWORKDAYS(A2,TODAY()))))

what do you want if barrier 1 or barrier 2 has a start date BUT no closed dat
